Jérôme Marie Rosselet
For me, art is not a destination but a way of moving through the world.
I create to stay connected. Connected to my body, to emotions, to memory, to the present moment.
It began with music — a place of refuge during childhood, a space where emotions could exist without explanation. Over the years, this need for expression expanded into other forms. Photography, writing, painting, drawing, and ceramics became different languages for exploring the same questions: presence, memory, vulnerability, connection, and transformation.
my work emerges from intuition rather than planning. i follows impulses, accidents, textures, and emotions, allowing each piece to reveal its own direction. Creation is both an act of exploration and a way of returning to myself. The process often matters as much as the final object. Working primarily with analogue mediums and tactile materials, i am drawn to imperfection, spontaneity, and traces of human presence. i embrace experimentation, imperfection and the unknown, moving freely between disciplines and techniques without seeking fixed definitions.
Born in 1994 in Neuchâtel, switzerland, and based in Bern since 2018, i opened my first studio in 2022. i continue to develop a multidisciplinary practice rooted in curiosity, sensitivity, and the search for authenticity.
